Target's natural skincare game grows with Fig + Yarrow
Jun 17, 2016
Denver-based natural skincare line Fig + Yarrow is Target's newest brand launching in the retailer's expanding assortment of healthy lifestyle products.
Target has been growing its natural product lines in response to consumer preferences trending towards healthier lifestyles, and natural skincare is at the forefront of the initiative.
Fig + Yarrow is the newest brand to launch with Target. It joins other natural skincare brands recently picked up by Target like Brooklyn-based natural skincare line S.W. Basics Style, and Beautycounter for Target launching this fall with Beautycounter's mission "to get safer products into the hands of everyone.”
While Target is no stranger to partnering with established brands, Fig + Yarrow is new to the natural beauty scene. It was started when founder Brandy Monique was a student. She tested her products on friends at school and developed the line out of their specific skincare needs.
Monique said, "it’s amazing how quickly natural skincare has come into the collective consciousness, and how people have become very savvy about ingredients."
Target was a natural partner in Monique's mind.
Monique said in addition to the accessibility Target offers, Fig + Yarrow's "message about selfcare was really suited for the people that I know who shop at Target. These are mothers that are looking for something good for their families, and they want it to be really easy."
Fig + Yarrow will launch July 17, 2016 in 200 Target stores and online. Price points sit around $20 for each of the five products in the line which include a clay mask, complexion water and facial serum.
