PVH Corp’s American brand Tommy Hilfiger is opening what it’s calling its first Asian flagship store, covering almost 11,000 square feet, in Tokyo’s Omotesando shopping district.

The brand’s largest store in Asia will be located on the corner of Omotesando and Meiji Dori. “Omotesando is the ideal location for us”, said a press release from Tommy Hilfiger. “It’s a destination for both Japanese consumers, and the international traveler who embraces our brand’s classic American cool lifestyle and preppy sensibility.”

In addition to the customary menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, shoes and accessories lines, the brand’s new flagship – which opens to the public on Wednesday – will present for the first time in Japan both the men’s and women’s Runway collections. The brand’s men’s tailoring service will also be introduced to the Japanese market.

The store will be spread over three floors and much emphasis will also be given to the work of the American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.

In total, the brand has more than a thousand stores throughout the world.
