Toronto Fashion Incubator heads to the UK

Published

The Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI), an award-winning non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Canadian fashion designers and entrepreneurs, will host for the first time ever its biannual tradeshow for emerging Canadian brands and designers in the United Kingdom.

The global initiative, in collaboration with London Fashion Week, will be held at Canada House on February 15, 2018 and will provide international exposure for Canada’s emerging apparel and accessory designers on the global stage.

The international edition is expected to gather retailers and media from across the United Kingdom, Europe and United States, allowing Canadian designers to communicate their brands to an international audience.

"Thanks to the High Commission of Canada to the United Kingdom, we are beyond thrilled to receive this exceptional opportunity to showcase Canadian fashion talent abroad," said TFI Executive Director, Susan Langdon, in a news statement. "We are extremely grateful to receive support that will enable one of TFI's signature events to debut during London Fashion Week."

TFI has been hosting its biannual TFI Press & Buyers Brunch and Tradeshow since 1995. The international edition will replace the TFI New Labels Competition, which historically focused on local engagement and is currently on hiatus.
