Jun 15, 2016
The Tory Burch Foundation announced Kate McAleer as the winner of its first-ever pitch competition.
McAleer was one of ten fellows that were selected to be part of The Tory Burch Foundation Fellows Competition, a Fellowship Program which provides young entrepreneurs with business guidance from the Tory Burch Foundation.
The pitch competition was part of a three-day workshop in New York City hosted at the Tory Burch Headquarters, where all ten fellows were asked to pitch their business plans before a judging panel.
As the winner, McAleer will receive a $100,000 grant investment for her business, Bixby & Co., which produces a line of better-for-you candy snack bars.
The Fellowship Program was first announced last year. The ten finalists will receive a $10,000 grant and will be part of the one-year program.
