On February 16, US luxury luggage maker Tumi will open a new flagship store, located at 63 Avenue des Champs Elysées; its third Paris store joining branches on streets Saint-Honoré and Palais des Congrès.

Covering two levels - made up of a 42-square-metre lower level and an upstairs floor expanding 65.5 square metres - the store will host a product personalisation service counter, and will stock the new limited-edition 'Champs Elysées Exclusive' collection, which boasts three bag models for women and one for men (starting from 495 euros).

"Our ambitions for the Tumi brand in Europe are very strong. We want to develop our presence across all European capitals, in the attractive addresses downtown, but also in airports. France, in particular, has significant development potential both for French customers and tourists," said Damien Mignot, European General Manager at Tumi, which was acquired by giant Samsonite in July 2016 for $1.8 billion.

Tumi, which in 2016 recorded sales of $276 million, is now present in more than 75 countries through 2,200 outlets. The brand also has 25 boutiques in Europe and Africa, and more than eight openings are already planned in key cities such as London (Covent Garden), Milan, Stockholm and Madrid.
