UNIQLO announces first Canadian store opening dates

Global Japanese apparel retailer UNIQLO announced on Wednesday that it is officially launching in Canada with the opening of its first two stores, located in Toronto.
 
The first store will open on September 30 in the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, while a second location is set to open in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre on October 20.

The UNIQLO CF Toronto Eaton Centre location will be a two-level store spanning a total sales floor of 27,400 square feet. It will be located on the 3rd floor of the city's shopping centre, facing Yonge-Dundas Square.
 
The UNIQLO Yorkdale Shopping Centre location will also be a two-level store and will feature a total sales floor of 25,500 square feet. The store will open in the new wing expansion of the Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

"We are very excited to launch UNIQLO in Canada and introduce our LifeWear - innovative, high-quality clothing that is universal in design and comfort and made for everyone, everywhere - as well as our exceptional value and customer service to Canadian customers," says Yasuhiro Hayashi, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Canada, in a news statement.
 
UNIQLO will sell a range of core items for men, women, kids and babies at its two stores.

Ahead of the official launch, UNIQLO Canada is also partnering with local shops across Toronto to introduce a selection of UNIQLO items to Torontonians.
