Under Armour partners with Team Canada for footwear

Under Armour announced on Friday a partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee as the official footwear supplier for Team Canada for the next eight years.

Team Canada athletes will first appear in Under Armour footwear at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 Opening Ceremony.
Items for Team Canada athletes will include The UA Govie Boot, a waterproof boot featuring an iconic Canadian design and bright red colour; the UA HOVR Phantom CT running shoe, which will be used for the athlete’s final preparations; and the UA Ultimate Speed training shoe, designed to support low-to-high impact training. 
"As Under Armour's first partnership with the Canadian Olympic Team, we are proud to support Team Canada's Olympic pursuit and provide state-of-the-art high performance footwear to the talented roster of athletes,” said Courtney Carlson, VP North America Marketing, Under Armour.
"This new Under Armour partnership is ultimately about providing the most innovative and high performance footwear for our athletes,” added Derek Kent, CMO, Canadian Olympic Committee.
What’s more, the red winter boots and training shoes, featuring Team Canada's mark, will be available for purchase leading up to the Olympic Winter Games online in Under Armour’s Canadian e-shop, as well as through retail partner Sport Chek via sportchek.ca exclusively.
