Editor, Graydon Carter said to the staff in an email that Hutton has decided to part ways, because, “she wants to make a change and move on once she has closed the April issue.”

Carter added, “Punch wants to pursue new creative challenges, wherever they may be. I fully expect that she will be as successful in this new chapter of her life as she was in her Vanity Fair one.”

Hutton joined Vanity Fair in 1998 as an assistant to Graydon Carter. She edited the Fanfair section of the magazine and is responsible for the re-introduction of the Fairground section’s party pages. Hutton was one of four deputy editors at Vanity Fair.
