French flash sale site Vente-Privée.com has reported annual turnover for 2013 of 1.6 billion euros, 23% up on 2012.

Jacques-Antoine Granjon, CEO, and French President François Hollande at the company's headquarters just outside of Paris.

In 2013 the company held over 10,100 flash sales which drew in over 20 million users across the eight European countries in which the site is present.

In the UK the company experienced a 22% increase in turnover in 2013. The United Kingdom remains Vente-Privée’s largest markets in terms of m-commerce with 37% of sales and 41% of visits generated from mobile devices.

Following strong demand in European markets, the company entered the U.S. market in 2011 and is looking to break even there next year, reporting sales of $50 million in 2015.
