Vera Bradley names John Enwright EVP, CFO

American luggage and handbag design company Vera Bradley announced on Tuesday the appointment of John Enwright to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
Enwright who joined Vera Bradley in 2014 was named Interim Chief Financial Officer in March, following the departure of Kevin Sierks. No reason was provided for his departure.
Enwright has held several positions at the company during the last few years including Senior Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. Before joining Vera Bradley, Enwright spent 15 years with Tiffany & Co.
"In the three years since he joined our Company, John has proven himself to not only be financially astute but also strategic and forward-thinking,” said Robert Wallstrom, Chief Executive Officer of Vera Bradley, in a news statement. “John's expertise and leadership will be critical as we continue to navigate through this challenging retail environment and work to make Vera Bradley a more efficient and more profitable organization. We are very fortunate to have someone of John's caliber ready to fill this key position."
Vera Bradley announced a challenging first quarter back in May. The Indiana-based company posted a net loss of $4 million.
For the fiscal year, the company expects net revenues to be in the range of $460 million to $480 million, compared to $485.9 million reported in the prior fiscal year.
