Versace is the next luxury retailer to set up shop in Toronto on Yorkville Avenue.

Following in the footsteps of Chanel and Eleventy, the Italian luxury brand is slated to open its Canadian flagship at 102-108 Yorkville in early 2019.

Located adjacent to the recently opened Chanel flagship and between Jimmy Choo and Brunello Cucinelli, the Versace store will span approximately 3,000 square feet over two-levels.

The company said the new boutique “will incorporate its iconic Italian touch with the modern dynamism the brand is known for,” and will carry a range of Versace fashion and lifestyle products including haute couture, prêt-à-porter, accessories, jewellery, watches and more.

“Yorkville has long since been the city’s go-to for luxury fashion, and the neighbourhood’s ongoing revitalization makes it the perfect community for a globally-known brand like Versace. 102-108 Yorkville will be a destination to experience a growing list of iconic brands, restaurants and retail,” said Gregory Menzies, Executive Vice President, First Capital Reality, in a news statement.

“We are very pleased to welcome Versace’s Canadian Flagship to its home in Yorkville.”

Meanwhile, in the 102-108 Yorkville development, owned by First Capital Realty’s, an award-winning salon/spa and cocktail bar, Her Majesty’s Pleasure, will be located on the third floor, as will a high-end Japanese restaurant on the lower level, which is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

This will be Versace’s second store in Toronto and its third in Canada. The luxury brand first opened in Yorkdale Shopping Centre in 2014 and has also been operating a store in Vancouver since December 2015.

The Versace brand was founded in 1978. It currently operates under the artistic direction of Donatella Versace.
