Vibram acquires Quabaug Corporation

Vibram USA announced that it will now do business with Quabaug Corporation as Quabaug Vibram Innovation (QVI) following the recent acquisition of the company.

QVI will allow Vibram to focus more on the development and commercialization of its North American products. The company plans to invest in QVI with new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
 
“For over 50 years, Quabaug has been the proud manufacturer and distributor of Vibram’s renowned rubber soling products,” states Mike Gionfriddo, CEO of Vibram USA. “This acquisition ensures we maintain our US-based craftsmanship and quality, with a focus to improve the service we provide to our North American customers.”

The companies have partnered since 1965 to create Megagrip, Idrogrip and XS Grip high performance functional rubber compounds.
