Statistics MRC reported in 2016 that the global flavor and fragrance market is forecast to reach $44.60 billion by 2022. While the top beauty companies battle for market share in the billion-dollar industry, Viktor & Rolf and Rag & Bone both enter the fray.

Viktor & Rolf presented its first fragrance collection this week at the Upper East Side Academy Mansion in New York City. The Magic Collection consists of six scents, each made with natural ingredients and innovative accords.

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren launched their first fragrance, Flowerbomb, with Fragrantica for their spring 2005 collection, and they celebrated the scent’s 10-year anniversary with a new ad campaign starring Romanian model Andreea Diaconu. Viktor & Rolf also added a new scent to its Bonbon fragrance line this year and launched the scent in August. Serge Majoullier and Cécile Matton of Fragrantica developed the Bonbon Couture Eau de Parfum.

New York City-based fashion label Rag & Bone launched its first unisex fragrance collection this month consisting of eight scents—Oud, Encens, Amber, Cypress, Bergamot, Neroli, Rose and Oddity—that feature spicy and floral wood scents and citrus flavors.

"We approached fragrance in the same way we approach all new collections – we started with classic components and built them out with qualities that are quintessentially rag & bone," said CEO Marcus Wainwright. "The collection celebrates the individual; we wanted each scent to create a unique connection with its wearer."

The eight scents from the Rag & Bone fragrance collection retail for $140, and the Viktor & Rolf Magic Collection will launch in February 2017 exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue.
