Real estate development company Wood Partners is replacing a two-story office building at 33 N Street NE in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC with a luxury high-rise apartment building. The 346-unit building will also offer views of the U.S. Capitol building and is within walking distance of Union Station, which is home to a variety of retailers and restaurants in addition to being a port-of-call for travelers. Construction is planned to begin this March with initial units completed in early 2018.
“NoMa has become one of D.C.’s most stable employment centers, which is fueling an increasing demand for apartments, nightlife, restaurants and popular retail,” said Scott Zimmerly, Director for the Mid-Atlantic region of Wood Partners. “The high-rise’s prominent position offers superb visibility, and the convenience of being located two blocks from the Red Line and encompassed by New York Avenue, Florida Avenue, North Capitol Street and I-395 is unsurpassable.”
Conveniently situated on the city’s red line metro and a short walk to Union Station, NoMa is an up-and-coming community in the capitol. The luxury high rise will be within walking distance to amenities that will be built over the next few years, including a Landmark movie theatre, a flagship REI store, and several shops and restaurants.
