Watch Blanca Li strut her stuff in new Christian Louboutin campaign

Blanca Li can add a new job to her resume, as the brand new stilettoed choreographer at Christian Louboutin.

The star has teamed up with the luxury shoe designer to direct and star in a short film to mark the launch of its Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.

Titled "La Répétition," the tongue-in-cheek clip depicts the powerful Li as a slightly terrifying and demanding choreographer, directing a stylish cast of professional dancers around the studio until one collapses from exhaustion and has to be revived with a kiss.

Inspired by the musical "A Chorus Line," the film sees the troupe stretching and warming up in what appears to be a conventional scene, until the camera pans to the group's shoes, all of which come from the label's AW16 line. They include towering leopard print sandals, chunky ankle boats and glitzy silver loafers. Li herself sports a pair of intimidating-looking studded leather stilettoes with a concave heel. The message, which the star herself confirms, is clear: "Louboutin shoes are not just to look at or to keep still in a nice position, you can go out all night and dance!" says Li.

Dance is a recurring theme for the Louboutin brand, figuring among the designer's earliest inspirations for his pieces. The freedom of movement translates into the latest campaign, with Louboutin admitting: "The secret is to let things come the way they do naturally, with no strains or limits...and then let's see. But the number one rule is ‘Let's have fun!"
