Zana Bayne creates collection for New York's Museum of Sex

Zana Bayne has created looks for the likes of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Madonna, and now label known for its BDSM-inspired looks has created a capsule collection for New York City’s Museum of Sex.

Opening today, the Zana Bayne at Museum of Sex collaboration an exhibition showcasing both original and replica designs of some of the label’s looks for artists such as Lady Gaga and Debbie Harry and a pop-up shop selling Zana Bayne's current collection. The exhibit will remain on view until October, with the pop-up shop open the following three weekends in the month of July. A capsule collection of Zana Bayne x Museum of Sex merchandise created specifically for the Museum of Sex will be sold at the museum store and online shop until supplies last. Prices for the capsule collection range from $45 for the t-shirts to $175 for the leather harness.
 
Zana Bayne, which is designed by Zana Bayne and Todd Pendu, is known for its BDSM-inspired pieces for men and women, but the brand has seen mainstream success in fashion as well. In addition to creating stagewear for many musicians, the label has collaborated with the likes of Prabal Gurung and Rei Kawakubo. It staged its first pop-up store in New York City in July of last year.

The brand has also created political statements in its designs as of late. Its online store carries a choker with the word “Nasty” and a harness with “Not my president,” with proceeds from the sales of both items going to Planned Parenthood.
