Google Inc said on Tuesday that smartwatches based on its Android mobile software will be available later this year, significantly expanding the Internet company’s push into the nascent market for wearable devices.
Italian footwear trade show TheMicam just opened in Milan and is preparing for a landing in New York in 2015. Meanwhile it is also pursuing its conquest of the Chinese market with its new edition, TheMicam Shanghai to be held March 24 to 26.
Turkey’s edition of the Paris trade show will occupy 7000 m² in central Istanbul from November 4-6. Messe Frankfurt expects this inaugural edition to feature 150 to 200 exhibitors and welcome 5000 visitors.
Show organizer Pitti Immagine and the National Chamber for Italian Fashion are working on a joint project to coordinate their respective menswear events by launching “Men’s Fashion Week in Italy” in January 2015.
Since its launch in 2011, Scoop International has continued to grow in success and in size, reporting a 10% increase in visitors for its January edition which was held across two venues due to an increase in exhibitor participation.
