Chanel - Haute Couture Spring / Summer 2013 fashion show (with itw)

At the Grand Palais in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld offers a romantic walk in the Landes region, between fine sand and pines. A collection that starts with dresses and suits made in a tweed way from ribbons and strips of tulle, with a shoulder effect, the underlying theme of the collection. The neckline is honored but the legs are not ignored with leggings or thigh-high boots dressed in lace and open on the front. Embroidery is found on flowery dresses, printed or in relief. The ateliers prove their savoir-faire once again. For the final, a married couple parade accompanied by their children. Is Karl imposing his vision of gay marriage?

Music from the fashion show

Karl Lagerfeld : The decor is also a kind of dream that I had seen in three seconds, the mixture of an ancient wooden theater in the middle of a romantic forest, I thought it was something I hadn't seen before.

I love the embroideries that are fake prints, which take thousands of hours to do, they are in relief, others are completely flat, and it weighs nothing, and the tweed at the beginning wasn't actually tweed, they are hand woven ribbons, and stripes of tulle. If you look closely, there is nothing in tweed.

Having thigh-high boots like stockings or as open sandals, I find it funny for summer, with zips along the back, like how stitching of the stockings used to be.

Haute couture is for today, it's not retrospective of the 50s or 60s.
