Koché - Women's Autumn-Winter 2017/18 collection in Paris (with interview)

Designer : Christelle Kocher (LVMH prize finalist in 2016)Location : After Les Halles ins September, the designer chose les Folies Bergère as the theatre for her new collection. The models pass between the rows of standing guests.Collection : an inspiration which comes from the world around it, with for this season a desire for romanticism, especially through the materials like the lace, the satin, the chiffon, the silk and the silhouettes adorned with embroidery. A wardrobe which mixes sportswear and femininity with subtlety.Focus : ruffled skirts, sweat-shirt dress, printed quilted parka, the tops with bare shoulders, the embroidered blousons with graphic motifs, the fluid trousers…Colour is always present, with deep or pastel tones. To note : a varied casting with people cast in the street and some coming from Japan. The glittered heeled mules. Interview with Christelle Kocher : I think that after having done my first show in les Halles, I wanted to have a bit more of a poetic, and more feminine collection and to explore a bit more of a precious and artisanal part of the brand, all in continuing this contrast between the street culture, the a bit sporty silhouettes but showing another side of the brand with a sweetness, and poetry. There was a lot of flowing dresses that I draped, in satins and silks that I gathered and draped on the models in a Vionnet manner, and which became the very longline and feminine silhouettes and after we have these polo tops which bring this grind, this contrast, this tension and both have finally been developed together I worked on the embroidery a lot with the art houses and the artisans, which I still hold dear to my heart.Music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
