Acne Studios - Women's Autumn-Winter 2017/18 collection in Paris (with interview)

Designer : Jonny JohanssonAmbiance : A room covered in fabrics creating like silver clouds. Jonny Johansson went to seek his inspiration on the side of childhood, naivety, with a primitive aspect, as if to seek some reassurance, and a purity of movementCollection : the elongated silhouettes, with the big fluid dresses made from a mix of materials, with sharp edges, hanging threads, pieces of fabric sewn as patchwork effects. The skin, through the suede or the deep black leather. The knit - Crochet brings the color for a jumpsuit or a large dress while the flower prints blows a wind of freshness and romanticism. To note: the volumes carried at the rear, the garment being constructed back to front+the jewelry, big earrings, the glasses in hexagonal shapes or the new bags.Interview with Jonny Johansson:It was very important to me that it was playful and it was naïve in the way we approached the fabrics and the garments, at the same time I wanted something very grown up, romantic, and primitive so I kind of tried to meet the two, the naivety and the mature woman, in the way a child would do it almost. That was the challenge to make them both at the same time, I was very inspired by an artist named Paul Klee who made hand puppets for his children, and those hand puppets were the starting point for me and the whole universe that opened up laterI wanted to go away from the whole urban, tribe, warrior – what everyone has been doing for a while, and to go into something more poetic in a sense.Music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
