N°21 Show - Women's Collection Autumn/Winter 2018/19 in Milan (with interview)

Creative Director: Alessandro dell’AcquaInspiration: The Majorettes, title of the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection. Collection: a mix and match of textures, both feminine and masculine. With lots of layering of light tulle dresses, golden brocade tops, and vinyl skirts bordered with lace. Checks clash together whilst embroidered palm trees feminise a pencil skirts. A touch of sportswear works its way into the wardrobe but always with detailing and embellishments. A creative collection with an emphasis on glam-punk, which above all stays desirable and feminine. Focus: on the propositions of flat shoes with studded soles or low rhinestone heels. The leather gloves in vivid colours. On the fringing and sequins on the back of a shirts or jackets, the animal print parkas and the mohair knitwear for soft and sensual cardigans. Interview with Alessandro dell'Acqua: These are the majorettes when they’re coming back from work. They’re not in the glamour mood, but when they come back with their boyfriends, with the very glamorous majorette dress, they wear the boyfriends' parka so we have this mix between the masculine and the feminine. It’s very nocturnal situation, because it’s one night in Las Vegas with all the paillettes of the Las Vegas night, and the situation is very glamourous but it is not Hollywood glamour, it’s sad and melancholic glamour, after the work. I like the sportswear mixing with the Italian situation, very tailored, the very beautiful pants but with knitwear, very American, sporty. I like the contrast in the situation.
