'Dior: From Paris to the World', the first-ever retrospective of the House of Dior, is set to arrive at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) on May 19.

Christian Dior Couture Archives

Dallas will be the only other U.S. venue to present the exhibition following its debut at the Denver Art Museum (DAM), where it was extended an extra two weeks due to popular demand.

Traversing over 70 years of the French fashion house's history -- from its founder to Dior's current creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri -- Dior: From Paris to the World features over one hundred haute couture dresses, as well as accessories, photographs, original sketches, runway videos and other archival material.

Additionally, the Dallas presentation will be the first to present a newly added selection of looks from Dior, including vintage couture by Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, and updated works from Chiuri.

Tickets for the Dior presentation at the DMA will go on sale on April 15 at DMA.org. When the exhibition opens to the public, adult tickets will be available for $20 on Monday through Thursday and $25 on Friday through Sunday.

'Dior: From Paris to the World' was organized by the DAM and curated by Florence Müller, the DAM’s Avenir Foundation Curator of Textile Art and Fashion. The exhibition in Dallas is presented by PNC with leadership support provided by Nancy C. and Richard R. Rogers.
