​HBC CEO Gerald L. Storch, to be honored as 2016 “Father of the Year”

The National Father’s Day Council on Monday announced that it will honor Gerald (Jerry) Storch, Chief Executive Officer of Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC), as the 2016 “Father of the Year.”

Part of the non-profit association, Father's Day/Mother's Day Council, Inc., the National Father’s Day Council’s mission is to recognize and award fathers and mothers as contemporary role models.
 
Mr. Storch is a highly-accomplished retail executive. At HBC, he oversees the company’s retail banners, comprised of Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Hudson's Bay, Home Outfitters and more.

Dan Orwig, Chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee and Group President of Men’s Division for Itochu Prominent USA says, “on such a landmark occasion, we are thrilled to recognize Mr. Storch – a revered and incredibly accomplished retail leader among his peers, who stands out as an exceptional role model to fathers everywhere.”
 
This year marks the National Father’s Day Council’s 75 anniversary.
