10 Corso Como, the Milanese lifestyle retailer from Carla Sozzani, is heading to North America for the first time ever. The Howard Hughes Corporation announced on Thursday that the retailer will open its first and only U.S. location at the revitalized Seaport District.

The 10 Corso Como New York City store will be 13,000 square feet and will be designed by American artist Kris Ruhs. The Italian retailer will join a number of fashion brands that have signed leases or are currently located at the Seaport District, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Scotch & Soda, Superdry, Guess, William Okpo, Brother Vellies, and Gilded Age.

“As a European, I am very excited to see 10 Corso Como come to the place where New York City was born. The Seaport District’s history of international commerce and innovation is inspiring. I am looking forward to creating an extraordinary destination in such a unique neighborhood where the interests of the community are a focus for growth,” said Sozzani.

Sozzani founded 10 Corso Como in 1991 with a new retail model that blends fashion, cuisine, art, music, design and lifestyle. The retailer celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with locations in Milan, Shanghai and Beijing in China and two locations in Seoul.
