3SI to sell Blancheporte, Spoiler and Venca

The company 3SI (formerly 3Suisses), which was bought entirely by the German group in late 2013, announced that it had started the process of selling Becquet, Blancheporte and Venca. The latter is active in Spain and Portugal.

The sale could be concluded in 9-18 months, according to someone close to the case, citing as an example Cité Numérique and its two retailers Quais de l’image and Naos Publishing, to be sold on Tuesday, June 30, the sale having begun in October.

The three online retailers account for a third of 3SI’s business for a combined turnover of between 250 and 300 million euros. The group itself accounts for 900 million and employs approximately 4,900 people. The question for analysts is whether Otto will continue to sell the group in pieces.

"In European economic conditions that remain difficult and a competitive and ever-changing environment, 3SI reaffirms its e-commerce strategy and e-commerce services as part of Otto Group while working to strengthen its strategic priorities with its stakeholder. 3SI will accompany the development of the retailers 3Suisses in France and Belgium; Heine, Moda Vilona and Witt in France; Unigro in Belgium; an d3Pagen/Vitrine Magique in five European countries as well as its e-commerce logistics services (Dispeo and Mondial Relay) and customer relations (Mezzo)," the company said in a press release.
