A first look at Canada’s Saks Fifth Avenue

Saks Fifth Avenue is scheduled to open its first Canadian location at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, on Thursday. Just on time for the grand opening, the luxury retailer has announced more exclusive details on its offerings involving food, shopping and guest appearances. Saks Fifth Avenue is also scheduled to open in Toronto, at the CF Sherway Gardens, on February 25.

 
To start, Saks Fifth Avenue is offering new service initiatives including, Saks at Your Service, a shopping service that can bring store items directly to a client's home, office, or hotel, at anytime.
 
Trained consultants for personalized styling will also be available at Toronto’s, The Fifth Avenue Club which will be a private shopping destination for men and women.

Both Toronto locations will also introduce the first-of-its-kind Saks Food Hall by Pusateri's, consisting of culinary stations, exclusive products, fine foods, services and a deluxe grocery assortment.
 
Two new restaurant concepts by Oliver & Bonacini will also open. At CF Sherway Gardens, a dining lounge called Beaumont Kitchen, spearheaded by Chef Michael Hay, will serve West Coast cuisine. At CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Leña, a restaurant and bar by Chef Anthony Walsh, will serve South American cooking, influenced by Spanish dining.

 
Its grand entrance into Canada will be celebrated with a series of events and guest appearances. Following the ribbon-cutting at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre on Thursday, fashion designer Phillip Lim will join the celebration and meet with guests during a personal appearance.
 
The Saks Fifth Avenue store opening in CF Sherway Gardens, will also host two in-store cocktail events.
 
Customers can expect a robust calendar of special events, such as fashion shows, personal appearances by designers and trunk shows, at Saks, throughout the year.
 
As expected, top-tier brands will be available in store such as Dior, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Chloé, Céline, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Givenchy and Alaïa.
