A.L.C., the Los Angeles-based women’s fashion brand from Andrea Lieberman, has set up shop across the country in New York City. The brand recently opened a showroom at 210 Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District.

The expansion follows the recent majority stake that A.L.C. sold to InterLuxe in 2015. A.L.C. is InterLuxe’s first contemporary brand joining Jason Wu, which the company took a controlling interest of in 2014.
Lieberman launched A.L.C. in 2009 after working with Giorgio Di Sant’Angelo and Romeo Gigli. The New York City native and Parsons School of Design graduate designs her brand to celebrate luxury, sartorial convenience, value and versatility. The brand is a direct reflection of what women want to wear and a clear understanding of today’s trends.
In 2011, Lieberman was accepted into the CFDA and in the following year she became one of ten finalists in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
The majority stake purchase by InterLuxe led to a number of hires at A.L.C. The contemporary brand appointed Jonathan Saven as President in 2015, and Joan Hong as SVP of Product and Leore Arik as Senior Director of Merchandising in 2016. Emma Sutton, Lisa Lee and Danielle Alalu were also hired as SVP of Marketing, Director of E-commerce, and VP of Sales, respectively.
