Adele chooses Burberry for "25" tour

British superstar Adele, who just won "British Album of the Year" and three other Brit Awards for her album "25," has begun a global tour, and chosen to go with her British roots when it comes to tour outfits.

Reports in UK media say British heritage brand Burberry will dress Adele exclusively, creating bespoke pieces for the singer's 100-date tour.

“It is a huge privilege to work with Adele,” said Burberry CEO and Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey. “She is an incredible artist who I admire enormously for her approach to life, her sense of fun, her innate style and her massively powerful and moving voice and performance.”

The dress Adele wore on the first night of the tour, in Belfast on February 29, was made from black silk and featured hand-embroidered sequins.

Music is an important part of the Burberry brand, which works with plenty of emerging musicians and has featured artists in its ads before. It was also the first fashion label to launch its own channel on Apple Music.
