Adidas board extends appointments of Roland Auschel and Brian Grevy

Adidas AG announced on Thursday it will extend the appointment of two its current executive board members and senior executives, as the German company doubles down on its long-term strategy.

Executive board member Roland Auschel, responsible for Adidas' global sales, has had his board membership extended by two years beyond 2022 until the end of 2024. Likewise, executive board member Brian Grevy, responsible for Global Brands, has had his appointment extended by five years, beyond 2022 until early 2028.
Auschel has been serving on Adidas' supervisory board since 2013, with Brevy joining in 2020, according to the Herzogenaurach-headquartered Adidas.
“On behalf of the supervisory board, I am very pleased to announce that we have extended the appointments of both Roland and Brian," said Thomas Rabe, chairman of the supervisory board of Adidas AG.
"Our long-term strategy ‘Own the Game’ has the consumer at its heart. Both Roland and Brian play key roles in bringing this consumer focus to life with their respective functions. We are convinced that they will continue the successful execution of our strategy together with the entire executive board."
The board extensions come on the back of news in late January that the German sportswear giant plans to hire more than 2,800 new employees in 2022, across 307 of its sites in 47 countries globally.
Adidas AG currently employs in total around 62,000 people, of which around 7,700 are in Germany.
