Agua by Agua Bendita achieves double-digit growth and expands in the Middle East
Agua by Agua Bendita, one of the most renowned Colombian resort and luxury clothing brands in the country, achieved double-digit growth in 2022, opened a new shop in Colombia and explored new markets this new year.
Agua is currently sold in more than 60 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, Panama, Brazil and Mexico and now the Middle East, in addition to major global e-commerce platforms such as Moda Operandi, MyTheresa, Matches, Net a Porter, and Bergdorf Goodman, among others.
The brand is planning to open its second shop in Colombia this year in the historic centre of Cartagena, and in the second half of the year it plans to open its third location in Barranquilla.
Agua was founded in 2018 by entrepreneurs and designers Mariana Hinestroza and Catalina Álvarez, co-founders of Agua Bendita, with the aim of entering the luxury market while sharing their deep love for Latin America, as well as their admiration for Colombian artisans and biodiversity, with women around the world.
During 2022, all directly managed sales increased by 20%, of which 92% came from wholesale, 5% from shops and 3% from its online boutique. Furthermore, the brand's collections were presented at the world's most important fashion trade shows.
