Richmond, Virginia-based luxury bespoke menswear brand Alton Lane announced the opening of its New York flagship in Tribeca, the company’s second location in the city, on Friday.

The street-level space aims to bring Alton Lane’s hi-tech luxury retail experience to one of Manhattan’s most coveted neighborhoods and features 3D body scanning technology, designed to ensure the best possible fit for customers, as well as a fully stocked bar and a private poker room.
“A number of our customers live or work downtown and we wanted to be able to make our product and experience even more convenient and accessible,” explained Alton Lane Co-Founder and CEO Colin Hunter in a release. “We look forward to continuing to deliver excellent fitting clothing, exceptional value, and an unparalleled shopping experience.”

“The opening of Alton Lane's second New York City location is an important step as we continue to grow and disrupt the luxury menswear market with our unprecedented customized apparel and innovative retail concept,” added President and Co-Founder Peyton Jenkins.
Alton Lane was founded in 2009 and claims that its mission is to revolutionize the menswear industry by offering a personalized shopping experience and quality custom clothing. The company works with the same tailors who produce for Savile Row in London.
With the addition of the new location, Alton Lane now operates 13 showrooms in the US, in cities such as Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, Dallas and Atlanta.
With US menswear revenues expected to grow 5% in the next two years and Nordstrom opening its first men’s flagship in New York, Alton Lane’s continued expansion would appear to fit in with current industry trends as the menswear sector continues to come into its own.
Within the sector, bespoke apparel companies have also been seeing particular success: Vancouver-based Indochino recently received a strategic investment from Mitsui USA and plans to expand in North America, while Australian startup InStitchu opened its first US location in New York, in February of this year.

Alton Lane Tribeca is located at 7 Harrison Street, New York. Appointments are encouraged but not required.
