American Eagle appoints Kyle Andrew as EVP, Chief Marketing Officer

American Eagle Outfitters announced Wednesday evening the appointment of Kyle Andrew as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, effective June 6, 2016. Andrew will report to Jay Schottenstein, American Eagle Outfitters CEO.
Prior to American Eagle, Andrew worked at Kate Spade LLC and most recently served as SVP, Brand Director for Kate Spade Saturday. She joined the company in 2008 as head of Global Brand Marketing and played an integral role in the re-positioning of the Kate Spade brand from a $100 million handbag company to a billion dollar global lifestyle brand.
She also served as SVP, Marketing for Kenneth Cole Productions and held the position of VP, Gap Marketing at Gap, Inc. from 2002 to 2007.
The company announced the appointment along with its first quarter 2016 financial results. Comparable sales increased 32%, which bested the expected rise of 14.9%. Net income increased 39.3%to $40.5 million and net revenue increased 7.1% to $749.4 million.
