American Eagle and Aerie to hire 22,000 associates for holiday 2018

American Eagle Outfitters has announced plans to hire around 22,000 part-time seasonal associates at its American Eagle and Aerie apparel retail chains over the holiday period.

 
As part of the recruitment drive, the company will be hosting a hiring event at American Eagle and Aerie locations in the US and Canada on Sunday, October 14, from 11:00 a.m.  to 6:00 p.m.
 
American Eagle Outfitters will also be looking to pick up new recruits via existing associates, encouraging them to bring friends and family on board through incentives and product giveaways.

“We are anticipating another successful holiday season for AE and Aerie and are focused on providing our customers with expert sellers to deliver an exceptional shopping experience,” said Sunny Woo, senior vice president for American Eagle and Aerie Stores, in a release. “Our seasonal workforce is an essential part of the selling team, and we are looking to fill those roles with energetic and enthusiastic associates who love our brands.”
 
Part-time associates will receive a 40% merchandise discount and will also have the opportunity to take part in special contests and giveaways.
 
American Eagle Outfitters reported record sales over the holiday period in 2017, with fourth-quarter same-store sales rising 8%.
 
Candidates interested in applying for a part-time position at AE or Aerie, should do so in person at their local store.
