AMI heads to Shanghai for its next show

The AMI label founded in Paris by Alexandre Mattiussi in 2011 is organizing its upcoming show in Shanghai, China, according to reports. It will be held on October 12.

The decision to head to China, as revealed by WWD, reflects its popularity in Asia. The fashion world will be invited to convene at this beyond-borders showing from a French house on October 12.

The Spring 2020 collection will not, however, lose touch with its "extremely Parisian" roots, Alexandre Mattiussi told WWD. The line's fans in France and elsewhere will be able to follow the show on the brand's website and via social media.

To accompany the show, AMI will be opening several pop-up stores in Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu from October 1.
