Anine Bing launches limited edition collection with Helena Christensen

Think of it as a Scandinavian alliance nurtured in Los Angeles.

Annie Bing has launched a collaborative collection with her fellow Dane, supermodel Helena Christensen, with a 10-piece limited-edition Holiday collection.

The Anine Bing x Helena Christensen mini capsule captures a certain after-hours model aesthetic that the two Danish-born ladies express.

“I've always embraced the classic off-duty model look, it’s been a source of inspiration for Anine Bing since day one. Helena is such an iconic supermodel and I've always admired her work. When I had the chance to meet her in person we instantly connected over our Danish roots and shared interests,” Bing told FashionNetwork.com.

“Working with Helena on this capsule collection has been so much fun - we’ve taken some classic styles from the '90s and added a modern twist with a bit of edge,” added Bing, who founded her own brand in a Hollywood garage back in 2012. Today, Anine Bing boasts over 300 points of sale and 15 fully-owned flagship stores.

“I’ve been a fan of Anine’s designs for years now. I live near her store in the West Village and always enjoy finding cool stuff in there. This is also where I one day happened to run into Anine. We clicked instantly and got chatting about collaborating on a project,” explained Christensen.

The clothes are a blend of Christensen’s '90s glamour with Bing’s mix of optimistic Scandi rock'n'roll and easy-to-wear LA style. Each key look bears a girl’s name; and includes a swish Rosalie jumpsuit; Carla ivory pant and Natasha snakeskin clutch. Like with Bing’s main collection, the collection is priced to avoid too much pain at the cash register – from a strapless one-piece Faye bodysuit at $179 to the classy Claudia blazer at $349.

A truly social-media driven brand, Anine Bing grew out of a personal travelling and modelling blog she created called Anine’s World. Pre-Covid it had grown to a company with 80 full-time employees in LA and projected annual revenues of $50 million.
