Arc’teryx opens 'Pinnacle Store' in Flatiron, NYC
Canadian high-performance mountain gear and apparel brand Arc’teryx has opened its first Pinnacle Store in the U.S. in New York City’s Flatiron district.
Located at 149 5th Avenue, the 6,600-square-foot Pinnacle Store replaces its original Flatiron district store, which first opened in December 2020 and introduces a much bigger space.
The location houses the brand’s primary product line, as well as its Veilance and System_A collections. It is Arc’teryx’s 26th retail store in the U.S.
“The new Flatiron Pinnacle Store opening marks an exciting new chapter for Arc’teryx’s retail journey,” said Delaney Schweitzer, chief commercial officer.
“2022 saw 10 Arc’teryx store openings, renovations, and relocations across North America. Next year, we’re looking to expand our direct-to-consumer footprint further with 15 new store openings. This is a key step in our journey to connect with our guests in a meaningful and personalised way, tailoring the way we show up in markets across the world to offer the highest level of service and share our love for the mountains.”
The retailer said that decision to open an Arc’teryx brand store in the Flatiron district was a “strategic choice," in line with its commitment to design, craftsmanship, and desire to be embedded in the city’s design community.
Katie Becker, chief creative officer said: “Our presence in Flatiron aligns with the area’s rich design heritage, creating a space to share design insights and inspiration with a like minded community. We will use this space to glean insights and hear needs of the community directly. We’re looking forward to connecting and co-creating with the community, sharing design inspiration, and growing ever deeper creative roots in New York.”
