Ardene taps Kendall and Kylie for exclusive partnership
Canadian retailer Ardene launched last week its first capsule collection with Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The collaboration is part of a long-term exclusive design agreement between the celebrity sisters and the fast fashion teen retailer.
The first capsule collection launched June 23 and includes 77 summer-themed items ranging from swimwear and footwear to hoodies, bodysuits and denim, priced from $14.90 to $59.90 CDN.
The collection is available at the Montreal-based chain’s over 250 Ardene locations across Canada, online at ardene.com, as well as at its three U.S. locations.
For the launch, Ardene hosted VIP preview shopping events at its eight flagship Ardene stores including at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre and the West Edmonton Mall.
The next capsule collections, as part of the collaboration, are slated to launch in August and November this year.
The collaboration is in line with the affordable fast-fashion retailer’s young target audience and Ardene’s strategy to cater to ‘Generation Z’ with social influencers.
Most recently, the 36-year-old company teamed up with Youtube celebrity Lauren Riihimaki, otherwise known as LaurDIY for the launch of an exclusive sleepwear collection for the 2017 holiday season.
More celebrity partnerships are expected to be in the works for Ardene.
The company launched in Canada in 1982 as an accessories and jewelry retailer. In 2015, it opened its first U.S. store. Plans to open new stores across Canada and the U.S. are said to be in the works with new store openings anticipated for this year.
