Aritzia to open Babaton flagship in Toronto

Vancouver-based women's retailer Aritzia is gearing up to open a new flagship concept store under the Babaton banner.
 
The 5,000-square-foot Babaton flagship store will open at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto on July 27, and will be the brand’s second Babaton store location.

Babaton, one of the brand’s in-house labels, is one of Aritzia’s core brands.
 
The Babaton boutique was designed to reflect the label’s minimalist and considered aesthetic featuring design details such as custom metal, glass, and stone floor fixtures, as well as a lit interior garden, lounge area with a marble coffee table, and curated art and plants throughout.

The boutique will carry the Babaton collection, alongside two associated brands - 1—01 Babaton and The Group by Babaton - also designed by the Babaton atelier.
 
The store will open with fall product that will be available at the new boutique prior to other stores and its online launch.
 

Babaton concept store by Aritzia - Aritzia


Artizia opened its first Babaton concept store at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre last year. The retailer equally operates stores under its Wilfred and TNA banner.
 
The new Babaton boutique will bring Aritzia’s store count to a total of 82 North American locations.
 
In its 2017 first quarter results announced last week, Aritzia reported an impressive net revenue of $145 million, up 14.7 percent from the same period last year, driven primarily by solid comparable sales growth, as well as strong sales from its e-commerce business.
 
The retailer equally announced plans to open a flagship store on Rush Street in Chicago before the end of August, and plans to open two new stores and expand or reposition four to five existing locations by next February.
