Art & Sole exhibits 150 fantasy-art shoes at Miami's Bass Museum satellite

Art & Sole, running from March 8-April 10 at bassX, a satellite of Miami's Bass Museum, exhibits fantasy-inspired “shoes” that have been on display at Stuart Weitzman’s Madison Avenue NYC flagship store since its opening in 1996.

 
The exhibition features over 150 of the most inventive examples of these fantasy shoe sculptures are elaborately decorated and are made of unexpected materials including bronze, ceramic, wire, Plexiglas or corrugated cardboard.

Art & Sole was curated by Jane Gershon Weitzman, Executive Vice President of Stuart Weitzman and Stuart Weitzman Retail, and wife of Stuart Weitzman. Jane Gershon Weitzman also authored the book that inspired the exhibition.
