Asics launches Jyuni Black collection and pop up

Asics on Thursday launched the Jyuni Black collection, a follow up to the Jyuni White collection that launched in February 2017.

 
Representing the Asics acronym, “anima sana in corpore sano,” or “a sound mind in a sound body,” the Jyuni collection is a tribute to craftsmanship and Japanese heritage, with elements of urban lifestyle clothing and performance.
 
Jyuni, which means “twelve” in Japanese, represents the movement and constraints of time. The first Jyuni collection built on Asics’ MetaRun running shoe that drew inspiration from traditional Japanese design and Tokyo’s concrete buildings.

The newly released Jyuni Black Collection is comprised of knit pants, jackets and shorts, tights, woven hooded jackets, overhead shirts, and short sleeve tops that feature mesh panels, stretch nylon fabrics and a 3D hexagon for nighttime visibility.
 
To support the launch, Asics opened a Jyuni pop up on 519 Broadway in New York City that will be open through June 3, 2017.
