London-based women’s fashion label Atea Oceanie launched this month its first-ever collaboration collection with Man Repeller.
The limited-edition capsule collection is a combination of Atea Oceanie’s minimalist aesthetic and Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine’s bold and unreserved style. Styles include a loose fitting double-breasted blazer, wide-leg pants, a washed indigo pleated skirt, a vertical striped dress, long button-down shirt and wide-leg trousers, and a Mandarin collar red poplin shirt.
Designer Laura Myers, who founded Atea Oceanie in 2013, met with Medine many years prior to launching the collaboration. Myers told Fashionista that she hopes to increase her presence in the American market through this collaboration.
Atea Oceanie, which means “something distant and remote” in Tahitian, is born from Myers' experiences in New Zealand and in Tahiti as a child. She attended Brown University in Rhode Island and worked in New York and Paris before launching her line.
The Atea Oceanie x Man Repeller collection is available now on the Atea Oceanie website.
