Athleta to move to New York City’s SoHo this summer

Athleta, the women’s premier fitness apparel brand, announced that it will open a standalone retail location in New York City’s SoHo in August. The Wooster Street store will be the brand’s fourth location in Manhattan and the first to open below 14th Street.
 

In addition to offering Athleta products, the store will serve as a go-to wellness resource that will inform customers of upcoming local races, athletic events, and free in-store fitness classes.
 
Athleta will move into the space recently occupied by Gap’s spin-off line, Piperlime, that was announced to close at the beginning of this year. The Piperlime store was planned to remain following the website’s shut down on April 30th, 2015, but it was closed in February which made way for the Gap’s women’s athletic line to move in.

Athleta currently operates 100 stores the US’ 30 states and will open additional locations in Illinois, Michigan, Oregon, and a new store in South Carolina.
