Balzac Paris refuses to stop testing new markets via random collaborations. After dabbling in kidswear this autumn with Tartine and Chocolat, and compiling a linen line with Gabrielle Paris, the womenswear brand is looking to DIY knitwear, in partnership with knitting kit makers, We Are Knitters.

Products from the collaboration between We Are Knitters and Balzac - Balzac Paris

Last March, Balzac Paris told FashionNetwork.com that the French brand wanted to make more room for accessories in its collections; a concept it looks to test this winter by offering shoppers the chance to knit their own turban, shawl or jumper.

Such are the mainstay products for the Spanish brand, a specialist in knitting kits, which allows novices to take up the craft but allows experienced knitters to expand their knitwear repertoire.

The new collaborative pieces will carry the name of Parisian areas (Left Bank, Montmartre, the Marais, and take the soft, warm colours known to Balzac Paris.

The collection will be sold online on both brands' websites. The knitting kit, to make the turban, will retail for 55 euros, while shawl and jumper kits will start from 85 and 89 euros, respectively.
