Benny Gold reopens flagship in San Francisco
Apr 3, 2017
After shuttering the doors of his San Francisco flagship last year, Benny Gold has reopened his North American flagship, this time focusing on a conceptual retail space.
Gold shut down his previous flagship, located on 16th street in San Francisco, last year. The doors of the new Valencia Street flagship for the San Francisco-based brand opened this week.
Founder Benny Gold told FashionNetwork, "I wanted the new space to be more than just a clothing store. The Benny Gold brand has such humble beginnings—it literally started with a sticker. Now, over a decade later, we are a celebrated lifestyle brand, releasing 4 to 5 seasonal collections a year, consisting of everything from hats and tees to cut & sew and accessories, skate decks, collaborations—you name it. I wanted the new space to tell that story, and also to give something back to this community that made it all possible. To foster a creative community around the shop. A place to stop, hang out and share ideas."
The new space is focused on creating a more friendly space for Benny Gold’s consumer – inside the shop is a café, serving loose-leaf teas and artisinal coffee, and a lounge space for fans of the brand to hang-out and relax.
Apart from the added benefits of the store, the flagship will also carry Benny Gold’s full line of outerwear, denim, shirts, and accessories.
Benny Gold was founded seven years ago in San Francisco. Since then, the brand has earned a loyal following in the streetwear and skateboard communities for its fresh and laid-back designs.
