Bestseller's Vila launches party capsule designed by Talent Award winners
Bestseller’s Vila brand is continuing to generate positive publicity from the Talent Awards it staged earlier this year and has just launched its party collection that features the work of Talent Award winners Pia Schulz from Germany and Elisabeth van Aalderen from the Netherlands.
They’ve played central roles in the development of the brand’s 2018 party capsule collection after the awards were launched to find “the next generation of talent” in fashion design and photography.
Back in the summer, news around the competition earned the brand some impressive exposure, with over 900,000 people engaging over social media, it said.
Schulz was then given the opportunity to design a 10-piece collection based on her competition submission, which was inspired by the 1980s film Scarface and the 1970s nightclub Studio 54. Van Aalderen was responsible for the fashion shoot for the launch.
Vila product manager Nanna Fisker Jespersen said Schulz had “showed a great understanding of the process of working with suppliers in finding the best solution for producing her ideas.” And marketing manager Maria Nordstrøm added that van Aalderen “showed the right combination of a good eye and a vision for the entire shoot, and the ability to translate it into what Vila – as a brand – needs.”
It’s a strong feel-good story for Vila as we head towards Christmas and underlines the importance of engaging consumers with new approaches to brand marketing.
