Billabong: Jeff Streader named global chief operating officer

Having recruited Mark Weber as men’s global merchandising & design vice president in March, Billabong continues to reorganize its management team. The surfwear brand has just appointed Jeff Streader as global chief operating officer. He will also be responsible for improving its IT and e-commerce platforms.

Jeff Streader - who will report directly to Billabong CEO Neil Fiske - previously served as operating partner at the investment firm Marlin Equity, where he was responsible for researching new retail investment opportunities, particularly as regards textile and footwear companies. From 2008 to 2011, Jeff Streader was vice president of the supply chain at Guess? and from 2001 to 2006, he was vice president of global sourcing of VF Corporation.

"Jeff’s deep experience in global supply chain and operations will help us build the global platforms we need to improve our speed to market, inventory turn, and product margins," said Neil Fiske.
