Biossance to launch in Sephora in Canada

Natural skincare brand Biossance announced on Wednesday plans to expand into the Canadian market through over 60 Sephora locations across the country.

The brand, which launched in January 2016 through an online direct-to-consumer model, entered Sephora stores in the US earlier this year in February and quickly garnered a cult following, as well as the title of top selling eye product at Sephora.com with the Biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel.
 
Biossance is now keeping with the momentum and readying to launch across the border. The beauty brand, owned by parent company Amyris Inc., is set to hit Sephora Canada stores in January 2018, marking the beginning of the brand’s international expansion.

“Biossance products continue to exceed consumer expectations and deliver outstanding sales results for Amyris,” said Caroline Hadfield, Senior Vice President, Personal Care, at Amyris, in a news statement.

“We are bringing great cosmetics products to consumers that are better for them and the planet. We are very pleased with having achieved another record quarter that has significantly exceeded our expectations and we are continuing to build on the momentum of our strong consumer demand.”
