Bottega Veneta introduces in Miami new store concept by Creative Director Daniel Lee

Bottega Veneta has chosen Miami to introduce the new retail concept designed by its Creative Director Daniel Lee, who stated for the occasion that “I wanted to create a unique kind of store, a place where Miami and Montebello [the town home to Bottega Veneta's creative studio, housed in an 18th century country manor] combine to create a space distinctive for its contemporary colours and calm, joyful atmosphere.”

The new Bottega Veneta store in Miami

The new store is located in Miami's Design District, and it features a range of materials chosen to maximise the brightness of its ambience. Outside, the raw brick façade is decorated with a Chianti green logo and a bright green frame, with a brass buckle as the handle of the entrance door.

The interiors feature a variety of materials with contrasting textures and effects, like plaster and marble, concrete and brass, plywood and leather, resin and recycled wood. The Palladian-style flooring is made using different types of marble, from Guatemala Green to Carrara White, Alpine Green and Marquina Black.

The staircase connecting the store’s two floors

The label’s accessories are displayed on counters in signature Bottega Veneta blue, while the ready-to-wear collections’ clothes (womenswear on the ground floor, menswear on the first floor) hang from beams attached to marble plaques, and eyewear is displayed inside blue-accented mirrored cabinets.

The store’s two floors are linked by a pink marble and plaster staircase, which harmonises chromatically with the recycled wood flooring on the first level.

In 2018, Bottega Veneta, which is owned by French luxury group Kering, recorded a revenue of €1.109 billion, down 5.7% in absolute terms and 3.4% in like-for-like terms compared to 2017.
