Brooks Brothers partners with Ors Group to launch end-to-end AI-powered platform
Brooks Brothers has partnered with enterprise software innovator ORS Group to introduce ORS' Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered RETa.i.LTM Platform to its 200-year-old business.
According to a press release, the platform will use algorithms and AI "to improve and automate decision-making" across the company's operations, creating a "highly sensitive and responsive digital supply chain" that will monitor inventory, analyze sales, manage online orders, and assess best and worst sellers, as well as carrying out a variety of other tasks.
At a conference held to announce the new partnership at the company's Madison Avenue flagship, Brooks Brothers Chairman and CEO Claudio Del Vecchio said that innovation has been a part of the company's DNA since it introduced ready-made suits and button down shirts to a buying audience. With its new tech initiative, the company said it will take that claim a step further by becoming the first in the industry "to fully integrate AI comprehensively across all processes," a digital move that the company hopes will appeal to the needs and shopping habits of the modern consumer.
As part of the partnership, Brooks Brothers also plans to integrate blockchain technology that ORS is working on with MIT professors into its supply chain, according to a Forbes report. In that same report, Del Vecchio told Forbes that his company had been "approached" by Amazon in regard to selling on the e-marketer's already developed digital platform, but made no further comment.
