The exclusive collection comprises 18 pieces for men and women and includes jeans, printed t-shirts, hoodies, sneakers and a skateboard – all embellished with Basquiat’s motifs, drawings and quotes.

Considered one of the most significant painters of the 20th century, Basquiat’s vibrant, raw imagery, abounding with fragments of bold capitalised text earned him international recognition in the post-punk underground art scene in downtown New York.

During his short career, the late artist collaborated with a number of other artists, most famously with Andy Warhol, created murals and installations for notorious New York nightclubs, drew enigmatic graffiti  statements across the city, made drawings in his own blood and painted on clothing and improvised canvases.

A selection of more than 100 of his works is now on show at the Barbican in London in an exhibition sponsored by Net-A-Porter, TP Bennet and Phillips.

Browns’ Basquiat x Browns collection retails from £90 for a printed t-shirt to £225 for a pair of printed mid top sneakers. The range is available online and at the brand’s South Molton Street store.
